It will use up as much as it can and begin texture swapping when necessary. Both EVGA Precision X1 and HW Monitor confirm the VRAM usage. Leaks would spill over into system RAM and Hardware Monitor shows normal amounts of system RAM taken. It’s just the nature of how the game loads textures. Not too long after doing just about anything in the game, I am sitting just under 10.4 GB VRAM taken of the 11 GB my card has. It seems it’s attempting to lower stuttering on entering towns by loading as many of the most common player textures as possible, or something along those lines. On my 1080 Ti it will start with nearly 6 GB taken just upon getting to the character select screen. Diablo 4 will use every last available byte of VRAM that it can get its hands on. The internet is already awash with takes. I really hate to tell you this, but 5 GB VRAM is absolutely paltry for most modern games. Blizzard has vowed to buff Diablo 4s Sorcerers and Barbarians following a backlash from fans over its latest patch. The Diablo 4 subreddit has already had to clamp down on posts from excited beta participants violating their NDAs, but the cats out of the bag. RX 5700 XT gigabyte not my gpu fault literally the games fault i played cyberpunk on ultra settings with 5gb video memory taken that game got 10x times better graphic than diablo 4
